We are very blessed in Devon with our beautiful countryside, clean air and above all the spectacular walking available.
Teigngrace sits beside the Templer way, one of Devon's most historic and wonderful walks. Close by is the Stover country park with a magnificent lake and footpaths. Dartmoor is a stones throw away with many types of walks and excursions available. Coastal walking is only 6 miles away and more recently the Stover Canal has been re-opened after many years offering a truly unique and beautiful walk.
South Devon has some of the finest walks in Britain, with hundreds of miles of ancient tracks and coastal paths for you to enjoy. And with great accommodation found in every town and village throughout the region you’re not only right in the heart of the scenery, but you can literally walk out your door and start experiencing the wealth of heritage and culture without so much as turning a key in the ignition or buying a railway ticket.
While walking in South Devon you can experience the contrast between the dramatic granite tors of Dartmoor against the shimmering seascape on the coastal paths. Take a wander down a country lane and you will be slap-bang in the heart of some breathtaking scenery in just a few steps.
By joining one of the great heritage trails or guided walks available you can ensure you see the best of what we have to offer as well as learning about the history and landscape you see all around you. Walking is more popular with visitors to South Devon than ever, but don’t worry about crowds. With more miles of footpaths and roads than almost any other county in England there’s plenty of room for everyone.
